PR Account Executive

Rein Communications is looking to add another member to our family and is currently hiring an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive!

 

Minimum of 2-5 years in a public relations agency is required. Candidates must be located in Charlotte, NC.

 

The environment is fast-paced and you get to wear a lot of hats- you will be busy, but your mental health and personal growth are prioritized.

 

Some of the things that will fill your days:

 

· Serving as a point-of-contact for our clients, providing updates, gathering feedback and ensuring deliverables are sent, received and posted.

·Tailoring media pitches and the occasional press release, contributing to thought leadership, blog articles, case studies and social media copy as well as other various writing assignments.

· Pitching press story ideas by phone, email and social to national, regional and trade journalists.

· Arrange interviews with key journalists and attend these meetings where appropriate.

· Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients.

· Attend client events and industry conferences.

· Manage clients’ social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn page.

· Monitor media coverage and report results to clients and team

· Deliver analytics reports on social media, reporting on traffic, engagement and followers.

· Brainstorm ideas for creative PR campaigns.

· Participate in building strategies for clients, determining target audiences, best channels, voice and approach.

· Research including trending topics and news, media outlets and reporters, previous coverage and other items as determined.

· Assist CEO and Account Director with various tasks

· Manage Assistant Account Executive and Interns

 

Key Skills

· Copywriting skills: Excellent at spelling, grammar and proof-reading, as well as a creative flair for producing engaging copy.

· Presentation skills: Effective at communicating ideas to your team and presenting strategies to clients, you need to organize information in a succinct and interesting way to capture attention.

· Strong interpersonal skills: The AE needs to be approachable, friendly, empathetic, and be able to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients and with the media.

· Time Management: You will often be working to tight media deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressures of your team and clients, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.

· Resilience: ​You need to be confident enough to pick up the phone to call national journalists and resilient enough to handle criticism and rejection.

 

Hours

Hours in office will vary and you will often have the ability to work from home. However, account executives are often expected to attend events outside of regular hours and

travel when needed.
